Our Collection & Privacy Statement: The personal information on our forms is collected by the City of Grande Prairie under the authority of the City of Grande Prairie Licensing & Regulation of Businesses Bylaw C-1393 and section 4(c) of the Protection of Privacy Act, SA 2024, c. P-28.5 ("POPA"), as amended from time to time. Your personal information will be used to administer the City of Grande Prairie's Business Licensing Program, including assessing your application and determining appropriate licence conditions, if any. To support this process, the City may request input from employees of other City departments and applicable regulatory, enforcement, health, or government agencies.
Your personal information may also be used by the City's Invest Grande Prairie department to support local economic development initiatives, including business retention and expansion activities, connecting businesses with programs, resources, and tools, conducting economic research and analysis, and inviting participation in surveys, consultations, and engagement opportunities. Your personal information will be protected in accordance with POPA and will be collected, used, and disclosed only to the extent necessary for these purposes. You may opt out of receiving future economic development communications from Invest Grande Prairie at any time by contacting info@cityofgp.com; however, this will not affect communications related to the administration of your business licence.
